WORK
SCULPTURE
"RIPPLE"
2026
This custom sculpture/light fixture was designed for a client whom I Love dearly (My Papa!). His request was for a metal light fixture for the porch at the cabin.
Years ago, on a trip to Portland with a past partner of mine, we met up with my father who was travelling for work on Fathers day. I asked him over bourbon whats one thing hes learned about Love from being a father. His answer still gives me goosebumps. He said "There is no limit to the amount of Love that the human heart can hold".
When coming up with the design of this sculpture this sentiment came to mind. Years after my mother passed, my father fell in Love again, and we are all better because of it. The woman he fell in Love with has a daughter which brings our family count up to 7.
The 7 circles overlay like ripples on water. The brightness of the aluminum shines even in the dark. Suspended overhead like something heavenly.
I hope this sculpture will grow and expand as our family continues to as well.
Made with aluminum tubing I rolled to circles and TIG welded to connect
ITS A SIGN
2025/26
Time touches all things. This project is an ongoing affinity for signage made with the waterjet. Clean crisp cut lines.
ROCK
2026
10 years this idea took to find some final form as a giant floating glowing rock.
For Winnipegs 2026 Fringe Festival I submitted a solo dance piece that was grounded by the presence of a 9ft tall rock whom I shared the stage with.
The production is "Could Kill But Creates" and you can learn more about it on the Performance Art page.
The sculpture took almost 200 hours to bring from concept to completion. Design parameters were, must be light enough to suspent from the ceiling (total weight was 23lbs), could be disassmbled so that it could fit through door frames (split into 4 quadrants that can be easily stored and transported) and be giant (9'x4'x3'), floating (yup), glowing (aluminum shines)
